100 Things

1. I have brown hair and blue eyes.
2. I have glasses but I rarely wear them.
3. No, I don't wear contacts.
4. But I can't see very well at night.
5. I like Bananas but hate banana flavored "stuff".
6. I love the color RED and various shades of it, depending on my day.
7. I am married.
8. I have four kids!
9. I live in Nebraska.
10. I have lived in the same town for 15 years.
11. I have lived in 14 different towns/cities.
12. I have lived in 4 different states.
13. I have been to 25 different states in the U.S.A.
14. I've been to Canada.
15. My favorite city is Seattle.
16. I need to get a passport.
17. I want to be a world traveler.
18. I think it's fun to talk with a British accent (even when others think I'm being stupid.)
19. I love CHAI.
20. I don't like marshmallows unless they're roasted.
21. I have a tattoo of an orca.
22. I have wished many times that I didn't have that tattoo.
23. I love to dance.
24. I want to learn how to ballroom dance.
25. I think that men who REALLY know how to dance are extremely sexy.
26. I love all kinds of music.
27. But I am not a huge fan of rap or acid metal. (or anything else that makes me feel as though I've just been verbally assaulted.)
28. I sing in the shower.
29. I sing to my kids to sleep sometimes.
30. I love sleeping in.
31. I tend to be a night owl.
32. I might try skydiving sometime.
33. I wanted to be a funny car/dragster racer when I was a kid.
34. I would still like to race a funny car/dragster sometime. At least once.
35. I like weird, eclectic stuff.
36. I have a metal flying pig named Winnifred Wilhemina Winehouse.
36. My flying pig was made in Mexico of recycled metal.
37. My flying pig's wings are very sharp!
38. I still have my first teddy bear. (He's VERY old!)
39. I didn't name my teddy bear until I was a sophomore in high school.
40. I named my bear after a friend in high school. (and am still good friends with this person!)
41. I grew up with one younger sister and one younger brother.
42. I NOW have one older half-brother, a younger sister, a younger brother, a younger step-sister, two younger step-brothers and one younger half-sister!
43. I have a grandmother who was the first single woman in Nebraska to adopt a child.
44. I am a direct descendent of George Soule who came over on the Mayflower.
45. I am related to Abraham Lincoln through his biological mother.
46. But I am not related to Kit Hinrichs.
47. Oh and my name is Darcy, NOT Dorothy!
48. I love mint tea!
49. I tend to be very empathetic.
50. I love chicken fajitas!
51. I HATE June Bugs! They totally freak me out!
52. I used to have a pet Pot-Bellied Pig.
53. Her name was Winnifred, also.
54. I hate having sticky hands. It grosses me out!
55. I draw almost every single day.
56. Someday, someone will inherit a huge collection of doodles on sticky notes!
57. I belong to the Cheyenne County Art Guild.
58. I served as president for two years because no one else would take the job! (Sad but true...)
59. I love to swim but rarely get to.
60. I love oatmeal raisin cookies.
61. I have a border collie cross dog named Jersey
62. I have always wanted a Rough Collie. YES- I want Lassie!
63. I have an eiffel tower collection.
64. I also have a weird collection of Wizard of Oz stuff.
65. I like poppies and dahlias.
66. I hate lemon in my tea.
67. I love Annie Leibovitz' photography.
68. My very favorite painting is in the Denver Art Museum.

77. I love going to the mountains- the smell of trees, the sound of creeks/rivers, songs of birds and other wildlife...
78. I have seen a mountain lion in the mountains before.
79. The very first fish I ever caught was a shark in Puget Sound.
80. I was 6 years old.
81. I was in a car accident when I was 16 years old.
82. I have a small crescent-shaped scar on my hand.
83. Church bells remind me of my grandma.
84. I've climbed the water tower in my home town.
85. I've gone skinny dipping before (but it was a very very long time ago!)
86. I was a cop's kid in high school. (yeah, can you say 'rebel'?)
87. I used to drive a royal blue 1977 Ford Pinto wagon.
88. We called it the "Smurfmobile".
89. We could fit 13 people in it at one time.
90. I now drive a mini-van.
91. It comfortably fits 7 people. (I know.....boring!)
92. I wear size 9 shoes.
93. I've had grey hair since high school. (but not as bad as my little sister who has more of it. Shhhhh! Don't tell her I told you that, though! LOL)
94. I hate going to the circus.
95. I love amusement parks.
96. I used to bite my nails.
97. I still believe in Santa.
98. Even though he hasn't left me anything in such a long time.
99. I can bend the first joint in all of my fingers. It's freaky!
100. I am LONG WINDED! LOL (ummmm....obviously!)
